When I was, a young boy……

The story begins with the magical G note.

My Chemical Romance, the first foreign band I ever listen to, is also my favourite band till now.

I was about 15th years old when I listened to this band first time. At that period, I fell in love with a girl just like teenagers usually did, but the story did not have a good ending. I was extremely unconfidence and self-doubt all day, by coincidence I clicked into the music video of Welcome To The Black Parade, and that’s how I met this legendary band.

My Chemical Romance has brought my life to another new era. In my hometown, music is homogeneous. Only pop music is widely accepted by citizens, most people think other music is strange, and rock music is usually defined as ‘noisy’. Before listening to this band I had a similar thought, but the emotional weight in all the songs by My Chemical Romance really changed my mind.

My Chemical Romance is often defined as an emo band, and yeah, I love emo bands.

It is better to listen to their songs for your own feelings. I will recommend some of my favourites to you all.

1. Welcome To The Black Parade

As I said at the beginning, this song is well known for its magical G note (which is the first piano note you heard in the song)

2. Disenchanted

My top-rated one, disenchanted probably expresses disappointment with oneself, this is always the feeling that stuck in my mind.

3. Cancer

Cancer is their softest song probably, even though it is soft, its emotional weight is heavy af. The cover version by Twenty One Pilots is also well known by others.

If you haven’t watched by previous recommendation, don’t hesitate to check it here!
